HAVE A BLESSED NEW YEAR
Each year people make resolutions for the New Year. As Christians, we do not need to make any resolutions; but we should submit to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ. We can have a blessed New Year if we will humble ourselves before God and seek to do His will each day. The greatest mistake we can make is planning the future without God.
Award Service 2014
Our annual reward day ceremony was held on Sunday morning October 5, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. This was the day we recognized those with accomplishments from the previous church year. We gave out Christian Growth Certificates to everyone who attended the two mission studies during the year. Eight young people earned a trophy and other small gifts for memorizing at least 52 Bible verses during the year. Six young people earned trophies and other small gifts for reading at least 52 books from the EBC library during the church year. Eight other young people earned some small gifts for being involved in the Book Reading Club but didn't have enough credits to earn a trophy.
Six of our young people earned a Reward Trip to Chucky Cheese and to Dollar Tree to choose six items each. They received the trip by earning trophies in both the Book Reading Club and the Memory Verse Plan.
Three people had perfect Sunday School attendance for the entire year.
They were rewarded with several gifts.
We are proud of the accomplishments of the folks at EBC.
